Hackney

It’s estimated there are over over 16,000 people in Hackney providing care for a relative or friend. We believe every one of those people deserves the support necessary to thrive in their role.

Self Care for Carers

2:30pm - 3:30pm

Online

This monthly programme invites carers to pause, reflect and share with other carers what it is like to be a carer, how it impacts their lives and what they can do to care more for themselves.

Our focus is 'Carers First': Only when we first care for ourselves can we truly care for others.

This may seem like a challenging task when you care for a family member or friend. We look at how to bring back balance into your life that places you centre stage, cared for and adored by you. If you don't do it, no one else will.

The themes during this session:

  • What is true self care?
  • Caring responsibilities.
  • Relationship with self and others.
  • Valuing yourself.
  • Self love or self abuse.
  • Looking after our bodies.
  • Morning and evening rituals.
  • Steps to dedicated self-care.

This month a one-hour Connective Tissue Therapy session has been arranged and will be presented by Jane Torvaney.

Carers need to sign in 10 minutes prior to the start time to allow for registration.

Please book your place using the form below.
