Lincolnshire carer, Kerry, and her family have just returned from a trip to Lapland, which they won in last year’s Carers First Christmas Prize Draw.
Kerry won the trip of a lifetime, worth £2,000, after entering the Carers First Christmas prize draw in 2021. Kerry and her husband have two boys aged 10 and 7, the perfect ages for a trip to the home of Father Christmas. Kerry says:
“The boys had the best time! They loved the snow, which was thicker than we’ve ever seen, and it was great for sledging. They also loved the husky ride and meeting Santa, of course.”
Kerry says her favourite part of the trip was the sleigh ride from the airport to the enchanted forest and the reindeer ride.
The trip was extra special for Kerry as she is a parent carer for her boys who have autism. Their family life requires a lot of adaptations, and it can be exhausting at times.
Kerry says:
“The trip was such an incredible experience to give our boys which they will always remember.”
Kerry’s message to those entering this year’s Christmas Prize Draw is:
“I’m so glad I bought a ticket last year. You never know if you have the lucky ticket, plus, whether you win or not, you are supporting a great cause. Best of luck.”
