COVID-19 cases are rising in London. It’s more important than ever that we all remain alert, take precautions and keep doing simple things such as opening windows if socialising inside and washing hands regularly to protect our families and those we care for – especially those at greatest risk of severe illness.
COVID-19 vaccinations remain the best form of defence against the virus. It’s not too late to catch up if you or someone you care for has missed boosters, or any dose of the vaccine – you can book by simply visiting this link or by calling 119.
The NHS are also offering antiviral treatments to people with COVID-19 who are at highest risk of becoming seriously ill and are 12 years of age or above. Find out here to see if you or the person you care for is eligible.
If you or someone you care for is eligible for COVID-19 antiviral treatments, make sure you have some lateral flow tests at home that you can order for free from the gov website. Find out if you’re eligible for free tests here.
If you have any questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, please speak with your hospital clinician, GP or local pharmacist. You can also find further information on the NHS website: nhs.uk/covidvaccine.
