Essex Carers First Team Accredited as Healthy Workplace
Published
09/09/21

Carers First is thrilled to announce that the team in Essex has been awarded an accreditation recognised by Essex County Council.

Level 3 accreditation is the highest an employer or workplace can earn from Working Well for the Healthy Employer and Workplace, and we are proud of the demanding work that the team has put in to be awarded this honour.

Carers First signed on for the Working Well scheme in mid-2019, the scheme having been funded by Essex County Council and is operated by Provide.

Jenny Goodson, Carers First Community Inclusion Coordinator for Essex, said: ‘I am so proud to be a Workplace Health Champion and working with a brilliant team. We have had a busy few years offering staff members the chance to join in to the many activities offered, both online and face to face, boosting our mental and physical health.'

Carers First works directly with and for unpaid carers to provide personalised information and advice. Registration is free and whatever the circumstance, Carers First offers services to support carers at every stage of their caring journey.
