In order for us to provide you with a service, we need to collect personal data for correspondence purposes and detailed service provision. We are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for this purpose, and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.
If you do not provide us with this information, we may be unable to provide a service to you.
Carers FIRST will collect and store in paper files and electronically, relevant information about you and your caring situation. We will collect, store and use the information you provide in a manner that is compatible with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You understand that you can request to see any of your information held by Carers FIRST about you, subject to reasonable notice and any legal restrictions. Carers FIRST will endeavour to provide a copy of any such information on request.
Carers FIRST will endeavour to keep your data accurate and up to date and will not keep it for longer than is necessary.
Carers FIRST will use its discretion to ensure we do not keep records outside of our normal business requirements.
Carers FIRST aims not to be intrusive and we undertake not to ask irrelevant or unnecessary questions. Moreover, the information you provide will be subject to rigorous measures and procedures to minimise the risk to unauthorised access or disclosure.
In order to best support carers, Carers FIRST works in partnership with the local authority you live in, several voluntary sector organisations, statutory services and health professionals and as such relevant staff in these organisations may from time to time have access to your data. This is only granted where they are working directly with carers to support them.
